Dormant... Not Deceased!
November 12, 2007

I just wanted to update everyone on the current and future development of Lethal Agents.

Firstly, after the release of Beta 1.01 we decided to take a little break. During our break Omega happened to "break" a bit more... Omega was in an accident that broke his leg rendering him out-of-service for a while.

Over the next few weeks Omega and I had many telephone discussions about what was needed to bring Lethal Agents to a state we can call "Final Release". As everyone well knows, we need a talented team of individuals that can help tie all of the loose ends. Not the easiest task to accomplish, in fact, putting a dedicated team together is probably the single most difficult task in modding. None the less, it is needed to move forward with this project.

During our overhaul we were offered with yet another opportunity to help create a mod which at first didn't sound like the best idea for us, but later, after a bit of discussion we all agreed it was in the best interest for both teams.

Omega and I have both been busy with other projects over the past couple of months, but we are still focused on finishing Lethal Agents. We have both learned a lot and have had many great ideas to add to LA. Omega has also been making tweaks in the code here and there as the SDK updates are released so it shouldn't be so difficult when we get back to it.

Feel free to check out what we've been working on and peep some of the talent that will be onboard with LA in the near future...

LA Beta 101
July 7, 2007

Looks like our Beta 1 testing was a success. Thanks to everyone that posted feedback on our Forums, it was a big help and very appreciated. We managed to get most of the problems fixed and even got us a few new gameservers, 2 in the Netherlands and 3 in the USA located in Los Angeles, Dallas and New York (USA servers are not online yet). We also added some content and maps for both Terrorist Hunt and Supremacy. You can view the Change Log here for details.

So without further delay, here is our second release... Beta 1.01
For those of you who havent tried Lethal Agents yet you need to download and install our Beta 1 found on our Downloads page then apply the Beta 1.01 update patch. There is also a full linux version of Beta 1.01 for those that want to run a server, no patch required for that one.

And They're Off!
June 25, 2007

We ran into a small delay the past couple of weeks due to a Steam update, but Omega and the guys at Valve found a work-around and we are going to release Lethal Agents Beta 1 tonight! This is just a temporary fix and we plan to keep the updates coming. LA Beta 1 contains a Single player mode as well as Coop and Multiplayer modes. TH=Terrorist Hunt is a game mode you can play alone Lone-Wolf style or have players join you in a Coop mission to take out all the AI terrorists on the level. Currently th_lockdown is the only map for TH, but we will have more maps added in the next few updates. Maps preceded by la_ are multiplayer modes we call Supremacy in which you choose your team and player configuration and battle for control of satellite access points. We will be putting a Manual online to help you with most of the basic information, it will need to be updated as we go and is not fully complete at this time. If you have any questions or comments feel free to join us on our Forums or our IRC channel #lethalagents on Gamesurge.net

Start Your Source Engines!
May 29, 2007

I want to thank all the people who signed up for the internal playtest happening this week. For those we selected, check your emails, you will have a link to the newest build. We will be organizing games daily so keep an eye out. Make sure you all sign up on the Forums and list any problems you come across. If there is anyone who can run a server we can run a few more games and bring in more of the people who wanted to playtest. For those of you that didn't get selected I will make sure that you have a chance to download the public release version before its officially posted. Stay tuned!

Game On!

Lambda Alpha III...
May 19, 2007

Omega and I have decided to publicly release Lethal*Agents: AlphaThree for testing.

After 6 months of sitting on the shelf we dusted off AlphaOne and started a small internal playtest. The multiplayer gameplay is functional and with a few minor tweaks we are delighted with the results. We still would like to have another round of closed testing before we go public to polish any rough edges. We aren't going to make a huge post about our search for testers though. We would rather see the people who come back to our site regularly have the first chance at testing.

With that being said, if anyone is interested in testing our final internal alpha and has a legal copy of Half-Life2, feel free to contact Omega or myself at the following:

JohnnyQwest: MSN or Email: lajohnnyqwest @ yahoo . com

Omega: Gtalk or Gmail: omegallah @ gmail . com

The Forums are online also. Everyone is welcome to come by and register yourself. If you are going to be testing with us this is where you would post any comments, bugs, or get any information:
